We use these words so often to qualify our endeavors, in fitness and in life. We went out for a run but “just” did a mile. We landed a job interview but it’s “just” a first round. We made it to the gym but it was “just” a short workout.

Why are we so hard on ourselves? We’re doing things and showing up, every damn day. When we repeat small actions consistently, we make progress. And when we make progress, we’re motivated to keep showing up. See the cycle?
